This bride's wedding bouquet was made of donuts

Published 13th Sep 2017 - As in, literally.

Would you hold DONUTS in your bridal bouquet?

A wedding has hit headlines owing to a rather unusual - and sweet - decorative detail.

Bride Paige Kirk - who tied the knot with her partner Steven last week - has hit headlines after picking arrangements of donuts in favour (flavour?) of traditional flowers.

12 floral wedding cakes that will make your heart skip a beat

The bride, from Sydney, Australia, told BBC: "Me and my husband thought it would be different, fun and light-hearted. Everyone thought it was hilarious, and the venue couldn't believe it".

According to Paige, her 'maids could just about resist tucking into their pastry posies during the ceremony, with the bridal party tucking into 'plenty of goodies' beforehand so they were 'too full' to be tempted.

This wedding cake contained 85,000 calories

The arrangements were donated by alernative wedding detail company Dessert Boxes, with Paige the first bride to walk down the aisle with a donut bouquet in her hand.
